What is Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)?
You connect your own AI account (like OpenAI or Anthropic) so usage costs go directly to the provider. No markup from us. ReplyBubble charges a flat platform fee, and you'll never see a per-message charge.
How much does the AI usage cost?
Typically just a few cents per conversation. Most small sites spend less than $10 per month on AI usage. Exact costs depend on the model you choose and how many conversations you get; check your AI provider's pricing page for current per-token rates. ReplyBubble also keeps costs low automatically: responses are cached so repeat questions skip the AI, spam and unserious chats are filtered before they use any AI credits, and your knowledge base is searched efficiently instead of sent in bulk. You can also set up scripted responses for common questions. Those don't use the AI at all, so there's zero additional cost.
How does the knowledge base work?
